Features

Rewriting what a recipe can be,faithfully replaying a professional’s cooking:a cooking-data service unlike any before.

ROKU SHOKU is entirely different from recipe apps that show the steps in photos and text, and from recipe videos that film the cooking.

The biggest difference: it records the process a cook follows to create an exceptional dish precisely, to the second, the degree and the gram, and replays it faithfully.

By turning skill, knowledge, experience and sensibility into data, it lets people experience the care that frozen and ready-made meals could never carry, and a joy once found in only one place.

Process

01RECORD02ANALYZE & TRANSFORM03PLAYBACK

Three steps to replay great cooking

  1. 01RECORD

Every detail of the dish, recorded to 1 second, 1°C and 1 g

The chef cooks the dish in a dedicated kitchen fitted with the recording system. Cameras and sensors capture everything as precise, high-resolution data: the heat, the weight of each ingredient, when each one goes in to the second, and even how hard the ingredients are stirred.

  2. 02ANALYZE & TRANSFORM

The cooking process, turned into data

We analyse the recorded data and edit it into a ROKU SHOKU recipe that recreates the original flavour. We then turn the recipe and every cooking step into cooking navigation (temperature graphs, voice guidance and cooking video), so they can be followed to 1 second, 1°C and 1 g.

  3. 03PLAYBACK

A recipe you follow with your senses

Prepare the ingredients, then cook while the ROKU SHOKU recipe plays in the dedicated app. By following the temperature graph, voice guidance and cooking video, you can faithfully recreate the chef’s signature dish, down to the heat, the timing and how hard to stir.
